Himalayan rock crystal
Extraordinary rock crystals and quartz specimens originate high in the mountain regions of the Indian Himalayas. Particularly well-known are discovery sites in Himachal Pradesh, including the region around Manikaran in the Kullu District.
Himalayan rock crystals captivate with their enormous diversity: from clear, shiny crystals to large crystal clusters, and specimens with chlorite, phantoms, and other natural inclusions. Growth structures and individual crystal forms make each piece a unique natural find.
Some of these quartz specimens are referred to in commerce and in spiritual circles as Lemurian Quartz. Characteristic of pieces so designated are often clearly visible horizontal growth structures on the crystal faces. Mineralogically, however, it is quartz – "Lemurian Quartz" is not a recognized distinct mineral species.
Our collection includes carefully selected Himalayan rock crystals and quartz specimens from India – from smaller collector's items to exceptionally large mineral specimens.
Each Himalayan rock crystal is a naturally formed, unique piece. Shape, clarity, inclusions, and crystal growth are unique to every specimen.
