An extraordinary piece of nature with a particularly varied crystal landscape and exciting mineral contrasts.

This amethyst geode shows a densely crystallized surface in smoky violet and grey tones. In the lower area, a large, light calcite crystal forms the striking centrepiece of the piece and stands out clearly from the darker amethyst surface.

Particularly interesting are the isolated reddish mineral areas, which are most likely due to hematite or iron-oxide-rich inclusions. Small dark tourmaline parts complement the composition and give the geode additional depth and structure.

The natural edge structure and the upright, slightly curved shape give "Smoky Ember" an elegant, almost sculptural effect. Depending on the light, the fine crystal tips, the light calcite and the reddish inclusions stand out to different degrees.
