This 30.6-kilogram amethyst geode from Brazil features a particularly finely developed sugaring structure on the inside. Countless small crystal points stand closely together, creating a vibrant, sparkling surface with noticeable depth. The light uniformly refracts in the micro-crystals, making the structure appear calm yet rich in detail.
In the upper area, light calcite crystals have also formed. This secondary mineralization adds another dimension to the piece and shows that the cavity did not grow in just one phase. The contrast between purple amethyst, cream-colored calcite, and the fine chalcedony rim tells a story of different geochemical conditions within the same rock body.
The vertical opening reveals a compact, self-contained crystal landscape. Despite its moderate size, the formation appears powerful and structured. The combination of dense sugaring formation and mineral diversity gives this piece a distinctive radiance that clearly sets it apart from purely monochrome geodes.
Geologically, the process began with the lining of a volcanic cavity by microcrystalline quartz, which remains visible as chalcedony. In a later phase, iron-bearing quartz crystallized into amethyst, forming the purple geodes. Under altered chemical conditions, calcite eventually formed, depositing on parts of the existing structure. Today's surface documents these chronologically separate growth phases in a single object.

We ship worldwide via FedEx or UPS.

In Germany and Europe, we ship with DHL up to 25 kg.

For shipments over 25 kg, shipping in Germany and Europe is via FedEx or UPS.

Very heavy or bulky items are shipped by freight forwarder. In this case, we will coordinate the delivery with you in advance.

Returns and Cancellations

If you change your mind, you can return your order within the statutory right of withdrawal.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from receipt of the goods.

Please return items unused, complete, and well-packaged, if possible, so that they arrive safely.

The costs of the return are generally borne by the buyer, as far as legally permissible and not otherwise agreed.

Once your return has been received and checked, we will refund the purchase amount via the original payment method.
